    The Academic Coordinator will support Graduate Medical Education HMS Internal Medicine Residency Program by:

    Coordinating 26 block rotation evaluations for both attendings and 31 residents.

     

    Developing reports for evaluations on ward participation, outpatient clinics, continuity clinics, and emergency medicine and pediatric sessions. Reports are required for Internal Medicine and Transitional Year residents across various timelines (monthly, quarterly, twice a year, and annually).

     

    Credentialing all new residents in New Innovations.

     

    Tracking certifications for ACLS/BLS.

     

    Coordinating teaching conferences for residents and attending.

    Managing the general medicine fellowship program by:

    Facilitating the contracting process, onboarding the new fellow, offboarding the previous fellow, facilitating the clinical schedule, processing non-salary expenses, and facilitating funding for the fellow.

    Administratively supporting Grand Rounds and Social & Community Medicine Rounds by:

    Identifying dates, setting up calendar invites, scheduling speakers, developing the evaluation tool, sending out reminders, processing CME credits, processing honorarium to the speaker, etc.

     

    Facilitating over 160 HMS teaching appointments and reappointments (for internal medicine, medical specialties, and family medicine), HMS Clinical Fellow appointments, and HMS teaching appointments for 34 trainees by: administering processes for each faculty member to document annually their teaching hours, mentor assignment, date of annual mentoring meeting; collating these materials and submitting them to HMS

     

    Onboarding Occ Health fellows and students.

     

    Supporting the HMS Practice of Medicine Course

     

    The course has 4 components, with 11 medicine students, and 7 dental students that require scheduling sessions of all students into respective courses and organizing preceptor sessions.

     

    Facilitating invoicing and tracking of all payments.

     

    Administratively supporting course director and 4 sub-course directors.

    Processing financial payments for:

    Principles in Practice of Internal Medicine Course - processing payments to attendings and drafting invoices for HMS.

     

    HMS teaching payments to DOM faculty ranging from 40-50 payments per quarter for DOM attendings along with members of Pathology, Surgery, OBGYN and Residents.

     

    Reviewing and editing CVs and converting CVs to Harvard Medical School format.

     

    Supporting Chief of Medicine in academic promotions by: serving as liaison to candidates and to BI Department of Medicine.

    Requirements:

    Education: High School/GED required. Associates Degree preferred.

     

    Work experience/Skills: Minimum 3-year administrative experience. Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Google apps and generally facile with learning new software.
