**Job Title:** General Contractor Accountant

**Location:** Charleston, SC

**Salary:** $70k

Responsibilities:

+ Accurately review and process vendor invoices daily, including importing, coding, routing, and posting material and subcontractor invoices in a paperless environment.

+ Create batches of invoices for payment and process checks.

+ Handle subcontractor compliance, including lien waivers, insurance certificates, and contract financial terms.

+ Assist with financial management of the company, including job costing, general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

+ Record general ledger journal entries as needed.

+ Assist with job cost tracking and project financial performance, working closely with project managers to ensure accurate reporting.

+ Monitor and enforce internal controls to protect company assets and mitigate financial risk.

+ Assist with payroll, direct deposit, or other administrative tasks as needed.

+ Primary software used StarBuilder, Intellichief, Outlook, and Excel

Ideal candidate:

+ Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks based on relative importance.

+ Detail-oriented and punctual.

+ Proactive with follow-up and follow-through.

+ Excellent analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills.

+ Professional verbal and written communication skills.

+ Discreet and able to keep pertinent information confidential.

+ Understands full-cycle accounting.

+ Proficient in Excel.

+ Collaborative, able to work effectively with project managers, estimators, and executive leadership.

+ Looking to stay with the company long-term.

+ This position is exclusively in-office.
