Preferred Qualifications

+ **Advanced SQL and Python Expertise:** Proven track record of writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, building Python-based analytics or automation solutions, and managing large datasets.

+ **Tableau Dashboard Development** : Skilled in creating impactful dashboards that bring data to life—making complex information clear and actionable for business partners.

+ **Merchandising and/or B2B Distribution Knowledge** : Understanding of product lifecycles, pricing, category management, and how decisions impact sales, margin, and inventory in a B2B environment.

+ **Data Governance Collaboration:** Comfortable working independently with Data Governance teams to establish data standards, quality controls, and best practices for analytics.

+ **Ambiguity & Independent Leadership** : Proven ability to operate in an ambiguous environment —translating open-ended questions into structured analysis and business recommendations.

+ **Project/Stakeholder Management:** Demonstrated success in contributing to large cross-functional projects, managing competing stakeholder interests, and delivering high-quality results on time.

Job Summary

Manages multiple merchandising projects, including overseeing all project phases from inception through completion. Defines merchandising needs, establishes criteria and business requirements, understands functional impacts, and ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

+ Leads and oversees project teams in the development and implementation of merchandising applications and processes.

+ Contributes to business process evaluation, procedural development, functional system design, and project support for merchandising operations.

+ Manages project and business expectations, including addressing issues and providing status updates to leadership.

+ Leads capacity planning and requirements gathering efforts for merchandising projects.

+ Recommends solutions that align with project timetables, objectives, and merchandising issues.

+ Establishes critical success criteria and key performance indicators to measure project impacts and return on investments.

+ Monitors, evaluates, and audits implemented merchandising projects, systems, and processes in support of continuous improvement initiatives.

Nature and Scope

+ Solutions require analysis and investigation.

+ Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.

+ Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Work Environment

+ Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

+ Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

+ Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

+ Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
