    What does a Social Media & Digital Content Specialist I at CNB do?

     

    In coordination with the Communications Manager, assists in planning, implementing and monitoring a multi-channel social media strategy to increase brand awareness, create engagement, support marketing efforts, and increase conversions. Involved in several aspects of social media, including executing campaigns, reporting, monitoring social media channels and responding to social media inquiries as appropriate, tracking and escalating to manager if warranted. Works to ensure social media goals are established, tracked, and achieved using appropriate content style, format, and tone for various audiences/channels, expanding the social voice of the organization to include trained social spokespeople.

     

    What is needed to be successful in this role?

     

    + A B.S. or B.A. degree in Marketing, Integrated Marketing, New Media, PR, Communications or related field.

    + Social media experience, including publishing content, preferred.

    + Candidates must provide a portfolio of digital content creation and/or management examples (whether professional, volunteer, school projects, etc.)

     

    What does a successful first year in this position look like?

     

    + Creates and manages various social media channels including content creation, comment management, reporting, execution of campaign, and content across appropriate channels.

    + Executes strategies to expand our involvement with Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn and other platforms as directed.

    + Proposes the social media content calendar to identify posts that will cover key areas to including brand, employee activity and recognition, product awareness and promotion, community engagement, financial education and wellness, bank operations, and recruitment.

    + Develops appropriate voices for the various channels and audiences of the organization, posts content tailored to these audiences and channels.

    + Serves as social media photographer, videographer, and designer.

    + Attends and represents the bank at various community, business, and educational functions to support social media content development and to strengthen understanding of the brand voice.

    + Develops creative templates for desired target audiences and channels.

    + Responds to inquiries and communications via electronic channels, escalates interactions when necessary.

    + Engages in social listening, actively monitoring the social media platforms for activity related to the organization.

    + Follows and shares content from key Centers of Influence and community groups.

    + Monitors and works to achieve organization social goals and performance indicators as identified. Reports on appropriate metrics such as impressions, engagements, video views, follower growth, and other performance indicators.

    + Monitors social media activity of industry competitors (local, regional, and national) on a regular basis and reports findings to management.

    + Develops and reviews market research data on regular basis to gather information on new opportunities and trends in social media.

    + Engages directly with representatives from social media providers to develop organizational strategies.

    + Implements appropriate changes and regular updates to social media channels that align with organizational strategy and goals.

    + Utilizes various social spokespeople to achieve messaging goals according to plan and strategy.

    + Assists in the development of content to support a variety of marketing initiatives as needed, including website, newsletters, articles (customization and ghost writing), PowerPoints, emails, advertisements and customer communications.

    + Assists with proofreading and reviewing materials before distributions.

    + Supports corporate communications team with implementing strategies and goals for both internal and external communications.

    Compensation range- $23.55 – $28.25/hr.

     

    The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, level offered, and performance expectations.
