Production Operator (Mix Room)

**Location:** Independence, OR

**Shift:** Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM

**Pay Rate:** $19.60 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated **Production Operator** to join our team! You will operate a computer-controlled production system that processes multiple raw material ingredients in our mix room. This role is critical to maintaining production performance, quality standards, and a clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Operate a computer-controlled production system to process multiple raw materials.

+ Coordinate with the material handler and heavy equipment operator on material needs for each machine.

+ Ensure shakers (mixers) are filled to maintain consistent material flow to production lines.

+ Load the correct roll stock onto machines and perform machine adjustments to meet production standards.

+ Conduct quality control checks, including weighing and volume inspections.

+ Communicate material quality issues (e.g., moisture content) to the material handler.

+ Perform housekeeping duties, including sweeping and cleaning conveyors, aisles, and catwalks.

+ Complete accurate and timely production documentation.

+ Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.

+ Follow all safety procedures and practices to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills and Competencies:

+ Ability to work safely and follow instructions.

+ Ability to read and understand English.

+ Comfortable working in dusty environments and all weather conditions (hot, cold, rainy).

+ Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods.

+ Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:

+ Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.

+ Strong attention to detail and quality.

+ Team-oriented and dependable.

**Pay Details:** $19.60 per hour
