Job Description
Join our team as a 3rd Shift Lab Technician in a cutting-edge magnet wire testing laboratory. In this role, you will conduct quality tests of magnet wire, assist in preparing various materials, and ensure adherence to quality specifications. You will play a vital role in supporting our quality management system, using advanced chemical testing equipment and computer programs to report and analyze test results. Your attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively will be crucial in maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
+ Complete quality tests of magnet wire for quality specifications, investigation, design proposals, R&D, improvement, and performance.
+ Conduct testing on QA and experimental runs, action requests, and sample orders.
+ Assist in preparing magnet wire enamels, thinners, and lubricants.
+ Perform inspection and analysis of raw materials and chemical products to ensure specification adherence.
+ Utilize chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments for various tests.
+ Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and management to analyze and solve problems.
+ Use computer programs and quality systems to enter and present data, preparing reports or charts.
+ Follow all procedures, methods, and guidelines to assure quality, safety, and production goals are met.
+ Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to maintain positive working relationships.
Essential Skills
+ Experience working within a quality (QA or QC) lab role.
+ Knowledge in quality control, chemistry, inspection, and quality assurance.
+ Proficiency with laboratory equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and instruments for wet chemistry and titration.
+ Experience with Quality Systems (ISO, QS, TS) and GMP.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Solid working knowledge of computers and analytical problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred.
+ 1+ years of GMP experience.
+ 1+ years of experience in quality control lab technician roles.
+ 1+ years of experience with basic laboratory techniques.
+ Ability to work a 12-hour schedule.
Work Environment
This position is based on a third shift schedule with a 2-2-3 rotation, working from 8am to 8pm. Training will occur on the first shift from Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, for the first four weeks. The role is situated in a climate-controlled, state-of-the-art quality laboratory. The work environment fosters hands-on training with opportunities for career growth and learning from experienced lab technicians. This global leading supplier supports the automotive, energy, industrial, commercial, and residential industries, with multiple plants across the Fort Wayne area. The facility in Franklin, IN has recently expanded to support the growing EV market, offering a dynamic and innovative work environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.65 - $21.65/hr.
