Job Title: Production Line Associate
Job Description
The Production Line Associate position is crucial for ensuring the effective operation of the production line, meeting company production, budgetary, quality, safety, and waste goals. Under the supervision of the Production Manager, you must maintain full attention to your work surroundings while working at a steady pace on a continually moving production line. Adaptability to various work assignments and maintaining a clean work area are essential, as is the ability to follow all safety and Good Manufacturing guidelines. Teamwork is a vital component of this role, requiring collaboration to meet production quality and quantity standards while minimizing waste, rework, and downtime.
Responsibilities
+ Responsible for line set-up, product changeovers, package size changes, and adjustments on line equipment.
+ Operate processing, filling, and packaging production line equipment.
+ Perform quality inspections of products and packs, including visual checks of raw materials, consumption, caps, labels, date codes, weights, packaging, and seals.
+ Monitor work activities of the line team to ensure effective operation, meeting production needs and quality standards while minimizing downtime.
+ Process required inventory control transactions using SAP and accurately complete all necessary paperwork.
+ Perform allergen clean-up and daily housekeeping duties in the work area.
+ Assist in training employees on the operation of the line's equipment and company processes.
+ Support and develop others around you, demonstrating dependability and care in your work.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to read and write clearly and effectively.
+ Capability to get along well with others and work dependably in a team setting.
+ Physical endurance to remain on your feet all day for 12-hour shifts, attentively monitoring machinery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in production, general labor, machine operation, machine operating, warehouse production, loading, warehouse packing, and troubleshooting.

Work Environment
The work environment is indoors and air-conditioned, maintaining cleanliness and adhering to food manufacturing safety standards, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). The facility is operational on Friday to Sunday shifts, working 36 hours but compensated for 40 hours. Shift hours are 1st: 6:30 am-3 pm, 2nd: 2:30 pm-11 pm, and 3rd: 10:30 pm-7 am, each with scheduled breaks and lunch. The facility has a seasonal aroma, which employees need to be comfortable with.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gretna, Louisiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
