Job Title: Process Technician

Job Description

Under the direction of the Molding Supervisor, the position is accountable primarily for the process of injection molding machines.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate injection molding machines for the purpose of shaping plastics while maintaining departmental Safety, Quality, and Delivery objectives.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery.

+ Adjust machine settings to complete mold setup tasks accurately, according to specifications and standards in a timely fashion.

+ Install dies in and out of the machine, according to work order specifications, using clamps, bolts, and hand tools.

+ Understand and mix resin material and coloring pigments or recycled material according to formula.

+ Complete all necessary paperwork (i.e., cycle time sheets, set-up sheets, etc.) as directed in a timely and precise manner.

+ Operate automated assembly machines in parallel with the molding cycle as needed.

+ Assist in maintaining the flow of work through production departments as needed.

+ Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Essential Skills

+ Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

+ Basic troubleshooting experience.

+ Injection molding process and setup experience.

+ 2+ years of experience within the injection molding industry.

+ Experience in molding setup and preventative maintenance.

+ Mechanical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Plastics experience is preferred.

Work Environment

3rd shift 10:30pm-7am. Paid breaks include 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 10 minutes. The work environment is a warm plastics company with machines running.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Waterford, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $66560.00/yr.
