Job Title: Geotechnical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a Project Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing both investigation and construction phases of projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and providing detailed reports and documentation on all geotechnical aspects.

Responsibilities

+ Manage projects during both investigation and construction phases.

+ Conduct thorough site investigations.

+ Visit job sites to ensure compliance with engineering standards.

+ Address field project management or engineering issues.

+ Write detailed reports and addendums.

+ Ensure accurate documentation and communication of all geotechnical aspects of the project.

Essential Skills

+ Strong field background in geotechnical engineering.

+ Proficiency in key geotechnical software: Slide (slope stability analysis), C-Liq (liquefaction analysis), SHAFT (pile analysis), Settle 3 (settlement analysis).

+ Experience in slope stability, report writing, and fieldwork.

+ Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Civil, Geotechnical, or related field.

+ 3+ years of geotechnical experience.

+ Professional Engineer (PE) certification is advantageous.

+ Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.

+ Experience in site investigations and soil testing.

Work Environment

We are a family-owned small business specializing in geotechnical engineering, providing a supportive and collaborative environment. Our projects include downtown high rises, schools, hospitals, Caltrans, DSA, and OSHPD, offering ample training and mentorship opportunities. The work schedule is generally Monday to Friday, 9-5, with flexibility based on project requirements and potential for overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
