Aerotek is hiring for a CNC Mill Machinist in the Rockford area!

Job Description

We are looking for a CNC Machinist with expertise in setting up and operating 3 and 4 axis milling machines. This role involves machining parts from blueprints, utilizing both CNC and manual machining equipment. The machinist will be responsible for setting up tools like drills, taps, and end mills, and ensuring precision using edge finders and indicators.

Key Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate 3 and 4 axis CNC milling machines

+ Machine parts according to blueprints

+ Use manual machining equipment such as drill presses, surface grinders, and manual lathes

+ Build and set up tools including drills, taps, and end mills

+ Utilize edge finders and indicators for precise setups

+ Ensure high quality and accuracy in all machined parts

Essential Skills

+ Expertise in CNC mill setup and operation

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints

+ Proficiency with tooling, calipers, gauges, and micrometers

+ Knowledge of GD&T and Fanuc controls

+ Experience with both vertical and horizontal milling machines.

+ Ability to work with materials ranging from aluminum to mild steel.

Work Environment

+ Operate in a well-equipped machine shop with assembly, manual machining, and CNC machinery

+ Work hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

+ Join a team of 16 members in a resourceful and collaborative setting

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
