Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
The HVAC Service Technician position involves hands-on repair and maintenance work on various systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, building automation, card access, doors and gates, building envelope systems, grounds and parking lots, interior finish systems, lighting systems, and other tasks associated with the operation of a commercial property.
Responsibilities
+ Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
+ Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repairs, related grounds, and production equipment.
+ Study and become familiar with various equipment and methods required for proper use, including building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and other building-related equipment.
+ Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions that impact satisfactory client occupancy.

+ 4+ years of HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience
+ Industrial or commercial HVAC experience
+ Experience working on RTU's (Roof Top Units)
+ EPA Universal certification
+ Knowledge of electrical systems and boilers
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Universal EPA / CFC license
+ Minimum of four years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering
+ Strong experience in the technical aspects of packaged HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance
+ Knowledge of overall system design and applications
Work Environment
This position is located onsite in a large manufacturing plant and operates on the 2nd shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
The environment can be loud and hot during warmer months, and candidates should expect to get dirty while making repairs.
Uniforms are provided, and steel toes and safety glasses are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
