    Job Title: Thermoforming Technician Operator

    Job Description

    The Thermoforming Technician Operator is responsible for making batches of material according to specifications, ensuring a smooth mixing process, and addressing any issues that arise. This role requires weighing materials, maintaining a clean mixing area, and troubleshooting any problems during the process.

    Responsibilities

    + Review mixing schedule and produce batches as scheduled.

    + Inspect reconditioned drums prior to use following the relevant standards.

    + Dump batches from mixers and maintain correct identification on batches.

    + Communicate with previous operators to discuss any irregularities or special instructions.

    + Follow mixing procedures and notify the Group Leader and QA of any abnormalities such as suspect raw materials or equipment malfunctions.

    + Complete necessary paperwork accurately and on time, including batch tickets and mixing dump reports.

    + Inform the Manager of any unidentified or misidentified materials, safety concerns, and maintenance issues.

    + Maintain a neat and clean work area and ensure safety apparatuses are in place.

    + Maximize product quality and output, using FIFO for raw materials.

    + Handle hazardous waste and perform real-time reporting in SAP.

    + Communicate effectively with team members and perform inspections and tests on drums and batches.

    + Operate a forklift.

    + Train new Mixer Operator Trainees and make trial batches for research and development.

    Essential Skills

    + Mixing, batching, and compounding experience.

    + Chemical handling and machine operation skills.

    + 1-3 years of experience as a Mixing Operator or Batching Operator.

    + Forklift operation skills.

    + Ability to lift up to 60lbs repeatedly.

    + Comfortable working in facilities with strong odors.

    + Pass skills key and audiogram tests.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior industrial cleaning or housekeeping experience.

    + Previous experience in mixing, batching, or chemical manufacturing.

    + Forklift experience is optional.

    + High school diploma or GED equivalent.

    Work Environment

     

    The work is conducted in a chemical plant primarily focused on automotive material production, with a climate-controlled environment. Employees are exposed to manufacturing operations like noise, fumes, vibrations, and dust. The position involves standing for long shifts, walking, climbing, and operating a forklift. Safety PPE, including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, respirators, gloves, and earbuds, is provided.

     

    ***Starting $25/hr all shifts available until filled + $2/hr Shift Diff in Evansville, IN!!!***

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
