Inventory Control Picker

Job Description

Manage daily cycle counts, research, and correct inventory variances, and provide accurate data and reports using Eclipse and Excel. Observe, audit, record, report, and correct discrepancies in all areas of inventory control operations. Identify performance barriers, assist in analyzing root causes, and develop action plans for resolution.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct physical daily cycle counts.

+ Research and correct inventory-related variances.

+ Provide accurate reports to the Inventory Control Supervisor or Manager.

+ Observe, audit, and correct discrepancies from operations.

+ Identify barriers to performance and assist in root cause analysis.

+ Develop action plans to resolve inventory control issues.

Essential Skills

+ Experience as a picker.

+ Experience in a large distribution environment.

+ Computer literacy.

+ Experience performing cycle counts.

Work Environment

Work in a very large, fast-paced warehouse over 220,000 square feet with more than 25 bay doors and a variety of electrical parts. The warehouse is organized with racks and a wire room section, maintaining a clean environment. Employees are required to keep their workspaces clean and organized. This role is specific to the large pick segment with floor-to-ceiling racks and wire guidance systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
