Job Title: Payroll SpecialistJob Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to efficiently manage the payroll process for our diverse team of employees across multiple states. You will collaborate with an associate to ensure accurate and timely payroll operations for over 275 employees in seven divisions. Your role will include entering new hires, processing employee changes, and handling voluntary deductions.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and process bi-weekly payrolls for both hourly and salaried employees.
+ Review computed wages for accuracy and correct errors.
+ Ensure all payroll changes are processed correctly.
+ Prepare and process garnishments and manual checks for terminations and discrepancies.
+ Check non-exempt personnel time sheets using electronic time and attendance software for compliance.
+ Calculate new hire pay, termination pay, and adjustments to normal pay.
+ Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files, including manual check logs.
+ Handle garnishments, deductions, and vacation/sick accruals.
+ Calculate and administer per diem pay as required.
+ Calculate bonuses and profit sharing earnings.
+ Ensure accurate computing, withholding, and deductions.
+ Manage the 401(k) plan by ensuring timely contributions.
+ Prepare various payroll and management reports, journal entries, and reconcile quarterly payroll taxes.
+ Coordinate and administer benefits.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in multi-state payroll processing.
+ Proficiency in ADP payroll systems.
+ Strong understanding of payroll tax and wage/hour laws.
+ Experience processing garnishments, sick leave, and benefits.
+ Knowledge of 1095, W2, and per diem calculations.
+ 401K and profit sharing administration skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with profit sharing plans.
+ Leave management expertise.
+ Preferred experience in per diem administration.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
