Job Title: Powder Coater
Job Description
As a Powder Coater, you will be responsible for ensuring all parts are properly painted and work instructions are meticulously followed. You will operate all coating equipment, including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems, while observing machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects. Your role will involve determining flow and coating quality through visual inspections and baking parts at appropriate temperatures within set time limitations.
Responsibilities
+ Operate coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems.
+ Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects.
+ Perform visual inspections to determine flow and coating quality.
+ Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations.
+ Ensure spray efficiencies meet KPI's based on quoted levels.
+ Ensure components are produced/coated efficiently and consistently with company goals for quality and on-time performance.
+ Adhere to quality standards and processes throughout the facility.
+ Comply with safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
+ Remove waste powder and maintain equipment through proper cleaning.
+ Train new associates in powder coating operations and techniques.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 5 years' experience in powder coating painting.
+ Leadership experience.
+ Good knowledge of mechanics and repair of painting equipment.
+ Knowledge of wash and pretreatments.
+ Use of manual and automatic paint equipment preferred.
+ Ability to lift 40lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2 years of assembly experience.

Work Environment
The work environment is a full powder coat shop, which can be warm due to the presence of two ovens. It is essential to adhere to safety guidelines to ensure a safe and productive atmosphere.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Racine, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
