Job Title: Panel Builder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Panel Builder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and wiring control panels, using basic hand tools and test equipment to ensure the quality of panels. You will also fabricate and wire control panels, compare wiring and location of control devices, and examine wiring for loose or faulty connections. Additionally, you will test wiring circuits for malfunctions, locate the root cause of issues, and label each wire in the panel.

Responsibilities

+ Build and wire control panels

+ Use basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, hand drills, and wire cutters

+ Utilize test equipment like voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters to check panel quality

+ Fabricate and wire control panels

+ Compare wiring and location of control devices

+ Examine wiring for loose or faulty connections

+ Test wiring circuits for malfunctions and locate the root cause

+ Label each wire in the panel

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics

+ Proficiency in using hand tools and testing equipment

+ Experience with electrical assembly and wiring

+ Knowledge of panel shop processes, quality, safety, cleanliness, and organization

+ Hands-on experience with control panels

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience as an electrician or electrician apprentice

+ Experience with HVAC systems, especially wiring up HVAC units

+ Any prior wiring experience

Work Environment

You will work in a very clean, quiet, and temperature-controlled facility. The dress code is laid back, allowing jeans and tee shirts, with no requirement for steel toe shoes. The shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime, if needed, on Fridays.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
