    Lighting Design Engineer

    Description

    The job involves designing energy-efficient lighting and control systems, performing photometric and energy usage calculations, and ensuring compliance with local codes and national standards. Responsibilities include developing lighting plans, photometric plans, fixture schedules, and control wiring diagrams. The role also involves conducting lighting system studies, collaborating with architects and engineers, incorporating sustainable design practices, reviewing construction documents, and meeting with clients to propose solutions. Additionally, the candidate will present technical concepts, guide junior engineers, stay updated with industry trends, and may require some travel.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    Must Haves:

    - Bachelors Degree: Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field

     

    - 5+ years of relevant lighting design experience

     

    - Revit Knowledge

     

    - Desire to design, this will not be a project management role

    Nice to Haves:

    - NCQLP LC Certification

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.87/hr.
