Lilly recently announced a $4.5 billion investment to create the Lilly Medicine Foundry, a new center for advanced manufacturing and drug development. The first-ever facility of its kind, combining research and manufacturing in a single location, the Medicine Foundry will allow Lilly to further develop innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and increase capacity for clinical trial medicines, while also reducing costs and environmental impact.
Lilly is entering an exciting period of growth, and we are committed to delivering innovative medicines to patients around the world. LRL has increasing needs for in-house manufacture of material for clinical supplies and will therefore construct a new campus to manufacture Clinical Trial (CT) Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) to meet needs for an expanding portfolio (more and new areas), to accelerate development timelines, and to enhance supply chain robustness.

The Digital Portfolio Associate director for LMF Tech@Lilly team will play a crucial role in overseeing and aligning multiple programs to ensure they meet their intended objectives, timelines, budgets and impacts. This role requires a deep understanding of each program's goals and how they connect with others across the portfolio. Additionally, the Portfolio Manager identifies interdependencies and ensures seamless integration between various initiatives. By proactively managing potential risks, cross-connections, and resource exchanges, they drive cohesive execution across the organization, balancing strategic priorities with practical deliverables to maximize value. This position is vital for ensuring all programs are aligned with the overall LMF Digital Strategy and deliver desired outcomes efficiently and within budget. The portfolio manager will be responsible for driving business and strategic financial plan conversations related to programs/projects managed by LMF Tech@Lilly team.
How You'll Succeed:
+ **Oversee and manage a portfolio of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with LMF Digital Strategy:** Develop and manage goals, timelines, budgets, and interdependencies with other initiatives/ teams. Ensure appropriate and effective governance in place for all initiatives and work with project teams and leadership resolve any issues
+ **Regularly report on portfolio performance:** Summarize progress, highlight achievements, risks and any adjustments to original digital strategy
+ **Manage Communication:** Identify interdependencies across initiatives, proactively managing communication. Coordinate with stakeholders to balance competing priorities and ensure efficient execution of initiatives.
+ **Manage financial reporting and support business and strategic financial planning for the program**
+ **Assess and manage risks/issues:** Proactively assess strategic and capability risks / opportunities across all initiatives and work with leadership offer solutions and drive improvement
+ **Manage Digital Plant Technical team:** Manage a small team of digital plant analysts focused on facilitating implementation of various digital solutions across the plant.
What You Should Bring:
+ **Advanced Degree:** Master’s degree in business administration or a related field.
+ **Experience:** Experience managing programs/projects in the pharmaceutical business. Previous experience in the startup of a new facility or clinical development manufacturing site.
+ **Leadership Skills:** Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams.
+ **Industry Engagement** : Active participation in industry forums and standards organizations.
+ **Skills:** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, manage trade-offs, and make sound decisions. Excellent communication and leadership skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
+ **Certifications:** Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP)
Basic Requirements:
+ **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in IT, project management or related field
+ **Experience:** Minimum 5 years of experience in program or portfolio management, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing multiple projects
+ **Knowledge:** Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects and programs, Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc)

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$123,000 - $180,400
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
