    Job Title: Doors Administrator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a DOORS Administrator or Software Engineer to join our Engineering Tools team, which focuses on addressing the DevOps and Tool Administration needs for a multi-disciplined engineering team involved in the design of complex systems and communication products. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely, with occasional travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for important team meetings and visits, averaging about one week onsite every 2-3 months, with all expenses covered.

    Responsibilities

    + Administer the DOORS Requirements Management tool across a multi-disciplined engineering department.

    + Collaborate with engineering teams to understand specific use cases and augment built-in DOORS functionality by creating custom scripting.

    + Troubleshoot, refine, and deploy updates to existing DOORS tools and scripts.

    + Configure and deploy additional tools within engineering.

    + Develop and maintain CI/CD/CT pipelines.

    + Research and identify new tools to improve engineering efficiency.

    + Work closely with Information Technology Services to define hosting requirements for engineering tools and ensure their deployment to the user base.

    Essential Skills

    + Extensive experience in writing and deploying customized scripts for DOORS databases, with a focus on automation and efficiency improvements.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or a relevant field.

    + 2+ years of experience working in an administrative capacity with the DOORS Requirement Management tool (versions 7, 8 or 9 preferred).

    + Strong understanding of DOORS tool architecture and its use in managing complex requirements sets for large projects.

    + Proficiency in DXL (DOORS eXtension Language) to write scripts extending DOORS capabilities through automation of processes.

    + Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and refine DXL scripts for reliable, efficient, and scalable deployment of DOORS customizations.

    + Advanced programming skills in Python.

    + Working knowledge of CI/CD/CT principles.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in embedded software development.

    + Experience in software engineering and deployment software.

    Work Environment

    This position offers a mostly remote work environment with the expectation of traveling to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for important team meetings and visits, approximately one week onsite every 2-3 months. All travel expenses will be covered

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
