Job Title: Controls Technician/Maintenance Technician/Instrumentation Technician/ Battery Pack Assembly Equipment Engineer/Valve Technician
Job Description
Join our dynamic team within the Battery Pack Assembly group where you will play a crucial role in supporting the Production Engineering Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering Battery Pack Assembly group's equipment. This position is perfect for a self-motivated individual with technical expertise in PLC programming and a willingness to collaborate across teams, travel, and work overtime.
Responsibilities
+ Support equipment development with NAMCs and Global teams in the Battery Pack Assembly group.
+ Develop equipment specifications to ensure standards compliance.
+ Perform machine risk assessments and confirmation activities.
+ Conduct equipment checks for safety, electrical, and mechanical design confirmations.
+ Validate equipment, conveyor, and logistics hardware for individual cell and zone safety interlocks.
+ Assist in equipment confirmations during vendor buy-off trials and larger zone trials.
+ Adjust equipment to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
Essential Skills
+ 2-3+ years of experience in technical roles involving PLC programming.
+ Proficiency in PLC programming with Allen Bradley, Omron, or Siemens.
+ Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's degree in a technical field or completion of trade school.
+ Experience with manufacturing equipment procurement, installation, and confirmation.
+ Experience with Kawasaki or Fanuc Industrial Robots for part transfer or auto-tightening.
+ Experience with Keyence or other vision system setup and/or integration.
+ Experience with AMRs and AGVs and AGV traffic control systems.
Work Environment
The position is based 100% on-site at TMMK, Georgetown, KY, with working hours from 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM local time. The duration is 12 months with possible extension. Candidates must be available to travel up to 50% during peak times, domestically within the US, to Canada, Mexico, and possibly to Japan, for periods ranging from one week to one month. Overtime may be required up to 25%, including weekends as per project needs. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as Steel Toe Shoes and Safety Glasses are required; additional PPE will be provided.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
