• Power Generation Technician

    Aerotek (Fargo, ND)


    Description

    Butler Machinery services agricultural equipment across North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Eastern Montana. We are looking for Technicians that are interested in relocating to one of these states.

     

    In this role, you will utilize your mechanical aptitude to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs for all agricultural equipment needs. Your responsibilities will include:

     

    + Performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agriculture equipment and systems.

    + Troubleshooting capabilities within all diesel technology systems and componentry (25% of work will be on a laptop performing diagnostics).

    + Proactively maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

    + Working independently and as part of a high-performing team.

    + Traveling to other Butler and customer locations as needed.

    + Performing other duties as assigned.

    Power Generator Technician Responsibilities:

    + Inspecting and diagnosing generator/engine issues accurately.

    + Performing regular preventive maintenance on generators to avoid unexpected breakdowns.

    + Repairing malfunctioning generators and replacing parts as necessary.

    + Overseeing the installation of new generators and ensuring they are operational.

    + Testing generator performance and output to ensure it meets specifications and requirements.

    + Keeping detailed records and work orders of generator maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

    + Adhering to Butler safety procedures while working on equipment to prevent accidents.

    + Staying updated with the latest developments in generator technology and incorporating them into the job where necessary.

     

    Opportunity for overtime as workload dictates (anything over 8 hours a day is paid at 1.5x your hourly rate).

    + 2 year degree in either Diesel Technology or Power Systems Technology

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $51.00/hr.
