Job Title: Chemical Mixer ($41,000-$50,000/yr.)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Mixer to join our team with openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Candidates must be willing to train on either the 2nd or 3rd shift for a few months. This direct placement position offers a competitive starting pay rate.

Responsibilities

+ Meet with the 2nd shift foreman to review daily tasks.

+ Train in various plant areas on different production procedures.

+ Follow work instructions for mixing pigments for paint.

+ Wear a respirator when performing mixing operations.

+ Lift bags weighing 50-60 lbs to load into the blender.

+ Follow batch tickets with specified weights and procedures.

+ Learn to operate a paint kettle, pigment reactor, and grinding machine.

+ Load bulk weigh stations.

+ Utilize a computer to read SOPs and mixing procedures.

+ Perform basic math calculations for batch weights.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to lift 60 lbs.

+ Ability to wear a respirator.

+ Experience with chemical mixing and compounding.

+ At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.

+ Experience reading standard operating procedures.

+ Must have steel toe boots.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous chemical mixing/compounding experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is laid-back, with no constant supervision. The plant has only 15 employees, and the 2nd shift consists of 4 operators and a working foreman. The environment involves mixing pigments, resulting in a dusty space with walls covered in pink/orange dust. While somewhat temperature-controlled, it can be hot in summer and chilly in winter. Uniforms are provided to protect against dust/paint. While industrial machines are in use, the noise level is not excessive. Respirators are worn only during mixing operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr.
