    Job Summary

    The IT Engineer- Networking is a member of the Information Technology Department who is responsible for the design, development, configuration, operation, and maintenance of SHI’s corporate data networks and supporting systems. They work on a team of engineers and administrators that maintain our global network and the interconnections with our customers and partners.

     

    This position reports to the Manager of Networking within the Information Technology department.

     

    This position requires reporting to the SHI Austin office on a hybrid basis.

    Responsibilities

    Include, but not limited to:

    + Deploy, configure, and maintainnetworkrouters, switches, and firewalls

    + Deploy, configure, and maintain datacenternetworkswitches and controllers

    + Configure and troubleshoot IPSec VPNs on router and firewall platforms

    + Deploy, configure, and maintain public cloudnetworking components

    + Deploy, configure, and maintain Wi-Fi controllers and access points

    + Deploy, configure, and maintain SD-WAN controllers and endpoints

    + Deploy, configure, and maintainnetworkaccess security controllers

    + Deploy, configure, and maintainnetworkload balancers

    + Provide level 3 support fornetworkincidents and problems

    + Create and maintainnetworkdocumentation

    + Knowledge in RSA and ClearPass is an added advantage

    Qualifications

    + Completed a Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience required

    + CCNA certification

    + 5 years of experience deploying and configuring Cisco routers and switches

    + Strong knowledge of IPnetworking and the OSI model

    + Experience configuring and troubleshootingnetworkrouting protocols, including BGP and OSPF

    + Experience configuring and troubleshooting IPSec VPNs

    Required Skills

    + Proficient in configuration of network firewalls

    + Proficient in configuration of Wi-Fi controllers and access points

    + Proficient in configuration of Cisco routers and switches

    + Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to follow a structured methodology to solve problems

    + Excellent teamwork and organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to handle multiple tasks

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Desire and ability to research and study technology to increase knowledge and solve problems

    + Self-motivated and possessing the ability to complete tasks and projects when provided with high level requirements

    Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

    + Prefer CCNP certification

    + Prefer experience configuring Cisco FTD or ASA network firewalls

    + Prefer experience configuring Cisco wireless network controllers

    + Prefer experience configuring Cisco Viptela SD-WAN platform

    + Prefer experience configuring F5 LTM/GTM

    + Prefer experience configuring Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)

    + Prefer experience configuring networking in AWS or Azure cloud environments

    + Prefer experience creating network documentation in Microsoft Visio

    Certifications Required

    + CCNA certification is required upon application

    Additional Information

    + The estimated annual pay range for this position is $70,000 - $125,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
