• System Engineer II

    One of Hawaii's largest healthcare companies is seeking a System Engineer to add to their Server team. The ideal candidate would have enterprise back up administration experience, VMware, and Linux. Preferred tools for backup experience would include Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, Cohesity, etc.)

     

    **This client is a hospital organization so the candidate will need to be vaccinated, pass 2 step TB test, and 10-panel drug test.

    JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provides infrastructure support for systems of moderate complexity, as assigned

    • Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues with infrastructure hardware and data center software.

    • Supports and assists the IT Department in the development of sound practices and solutions for infrastructure issues.

    • Serves as a Tier 1 escalation point for infrastructure related issues.

    • Collects data from performance and uptime monitoring tools.

    • Installs, configures, tests and maintains operating systems, application software and system management tools.

    • Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.

    This opportunity will start off as fully on-site, but can turn eventually hybrid. There is a rotation of being on-call every 3-4 weeks. During on-call weeks, he/she will work on-site 5 days/week. Parking is NOT included, however there is an option to pay for monthly parking at a subsidized rate of $110/mo, located near Punchbowl campus.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $104000.00/yr.
