We have more than 500 team members across multiple offices, primarily in Calabasas CA, San Diego, CA, Woodridge, IL, Minneapolis, MN and Pleasanton, CA. We also have team members in two company-owned offices in China, as well as in Europe.
Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Merchandising Analyst to assist in effectively growing our promotional product and corporate gifting businesses. This internship offers an opportunity to contribute directly by way of competitive product and pricing analysis and hands-on experience in merchandising products on our websites.
PlanetArt internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week, typically between 9am and 5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have scheduling conflicts such as classes or other employment during the PlanetArt workday.

Key job responsibilities
+ Analyze market data to understand pricing trends and determine competitive pricing strategies.
+ Collaborate with Merchandising teams to develop and maintain competitive pricing tables.
+ Monitor industry trends and consumer behavior to identify new opportunities for product development.
+ Provide recommendations to address gaps in product assortment.
+ Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations based on analysis to inform strategic product merchandising opportunities.
Requirements
Qualifications
+ Current student with a preferred degree focus in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
+ Able to work up to 40 hours a week throughout the course of a 10- to 12-week summer internship between May or June through August or September 2025.
+ Interest in merchandising, data analysis-creative a plus.
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
+ Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Excellent eye for visual organization & curation.
+ Strong organization skills.
+ Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and other data analyst tools.
+ Knowledge of retail and e-commerce industries a plus.
Benefits
Compensation
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position is $19.00 an hour.
Working Conditions
+ Work is performed in an office environment with low to moderate noise levels.
+ Position requires regular, continuous use of computer.
+ Position requires regular interaction with team members through the following methods: in-person, phone, WebEx, Slack, or email.
+ This is a hybrid position; employees are expected to be in the office three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) with the option of working remotely two days (Wednesday and Friday).
