• Maintenance Assistant

    The Ophthalmology department is looking to hire a **_Maintenance Assistant_** to offer general support for our internal repair shop as well as assist our facility administrator. This will involve travel to all of our satellite locations with our East Baltimore campus acting as home base.

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities

    + Assist Facility Operations Administrator with submitting of work orders and track progress.

    + Assist Facility Operations Administrator with follow-up action on requests from staff and faculty.

    + Move Furniture, Equipment, and Lab Equipment.

    + Relocate staff members and their belongings when necessary.

    + Assemble Furniture for administration, clinic staff and laboratories when necessary.

    + Assist with maintaining and verifying fixed asset inventory.

    + Archive and retrieve furniture, equipment, and files from off-site warehouse.

    + Perform basic maintenance and repairs at satellite offices when necessary.

    + Relocate/deliver equipment to satellite offices/clinics when needed.

    + Assist equipment maintenance division of Wilmer Eye when needed.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or Equivalency. Trade school is a bonus

    + Must be able to lift heavy objects and work independently.

    + Requires driver's license and own reliable transportation.

    + Must travel to Eb and all other satellite campuses.

    + Some off hours/emergency response may be required.

    + Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

    Starting Salary Range: $15.40 - $22.25 HRLY ($20.55/hour targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
