    Johns Hopkins University is modernizing its HR systems, transitioning from SAP to Workday. This presents an exciting opportunity for a skilled and driven analyst to play a pivotal role in shaping our data-driven HR strategy. We are seeking a **_Sr. Data Analyst_** , instrumental in unlocking the power of Workday Prism and Power BI to provide actionable insights that inform key decisions across all aspects of Human Resources.

    Specific Duties & Responsibilities

    + Craft Compelling Data Stories with Power BI: Transform raw data into compelling narratives using Power BI. Design, develop, and maintain visually stunning and interactive dashboards and reports. Create custom data models and visualizations to address complex HR questions, seamlessly integrating Workday data while ensuring accuracy and consistency. Work will provide HR leaders with the information they need to make informed decisions.

    + Data Integration & Quality Champion: Integrate HR data from a variety of sources, including the HRIS system, the Applicant Tracking System, and other relevant platforms, building a comprehensive and reliable data foundation. Play a key role in ensuring data quality and consistency across all HR systems and processes.

    + Uncover Actionable Insights: Analyze and interpret large datasets related to employee performance, recruitment, retention, compensation, and workforce demographics. Develop predictive models to forecast workforce trends, turnover, and other critical HR metrics. Directly influence HR strategy and drive positive change within the University.

    + Collaborate and Influence: Partner closely with HR Partners, core Human Resources, and other stakeholders to understand their information needs and translate them into insightful reports and analyses. Present your findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively, influencing decision-making at all levels. Effectively communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    + Maintain Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all HR data and reporting adhere to legal and regulatory standards, including data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR). Proactively conduct industry benchmarking to identify best practices and drive continuous improvement in our HR analytics capabilities.

    + Become a Workday Prism Pioneer: Dive deep into Workday Prism, mastering its advanced analytics capabilities to extract meaningful insights from our HR data. Serve as a Subject-Matter-Expert (SME), developing and maintaining impactful dashboards and reports that illuminate key HR metrics – from workforce planning and talent acquisition to employee engagement and compensation. Leverage Prism's predictive power to anticipate future workforce trends, identify potential challenges, and proactively recommend solutions.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree.

    + Five years' experience.

    + Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Demonstrated expertise with Workday and Workday Prism.

    + Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Excel).

    + Proven ability to develop impactful dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.

    + Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

    + Experience with advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling.

    + Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor your message to diverse audiences.

     

    Classified Title: Sr. Data Analyst

    Role/Level/Range: ATP/04/PD

    Starting Salary Range: $62,900 - $110,100 Annually (Commensurate w/exp.)

     

    Employee group: Full Time

     

    Schedule: M-F/8:30-5:00

     

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    The listed salary range represents the minimum and maximum Johns Hopkins University offers for this position, based on a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, market conditions, education, and internal equity. Not all candidates will qualify for the highest salary in the range.
