The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing is seeking a **_Research Program Coordinator_** with clinical trial experience, particularly with managing trials that interface with community-based care. The coordinator will be responsible for managing operations for the Healthy for Two (H42) research studies, including IRB protocols and manuals of procedures, recruitment/enrollment, data collection/retention, community engagement, and reporting/dissemination.
_About the Research Study_
+ Healthy For Two (H42) is a remotely delivered health coaching intervention to support healthy gestational weight gain and postpartum weight retention for pregnant/postpartum people. It is offered in English and Spanish and aims to reach a diverse socially vulnerable population.
+ To reach its intended audience, H42 partners with a diverse set of organizations including prenatal clinics, home visiting programs, and other community-based programs and services.
+ H42-Home Visiting is part of the Mid-Atlantic Center for Cardiometabolic Health Equity (MACCHE) Center and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity.
+ Data collection is predominantly from electronic surveys, review of outside medical records, a digital home smart scale, Medicaid data, and interviews/focus groups.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
+ The Research Program Coordinator is responsible for helping to develop, coordinate, implement and manage all aspects of the study.
+ Manages trial protocols in the IRB, including changes in research and continuing reviews.
+ Maintains/creates manuals of procedures for recruitment/enrollment, data collection/retention.
+ Manages and tracks all recruitment processes, including screening, consent and randomization visits in REDCap.
+ Manages and tracks all data collection activities.
+ Assists with the development and maintenance of REDCap.
+ Organizes, coordinates and leads weekly team meetings (along with study PIs).
+ Tracks and manages study-related daily/weekly action items.
+ Works as a liaison (“face of the study”) to study partners including MACCHE, home visiting programs, and other community partners.
+ Monitors study retention and renumeration
+ Mails and maintains logs of gift cards and other incentives.
+ Assists in the developing and maintaining retention strategies (Facebook groups, newsletters, birth and birthday cards).
+ Implements and reports on all retention metrics.
+ Assists with documentation of safety reporting to the Data Safety and Monitoring Board.
+ Assists with Center, NIH, and other communication and progress reports.
+ Helps to hire and supervise research assistants.
+ Assist with the dissemination of Healthy for Two (intervention and findings) to community partners, policy makers, and academic outlets.
+ Provides other duties as assigned.

+ Makes decisions and establishes work priorities.
+ Candidate is responsible for carrying out duties and responsibilities under the supervision of the Research Manager and PIs (co-supervision).
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and basic statistical software.
+ Understanding of basic statistics and qualitative data collection (interviews) and analysis.
+ Knowledge of clinical research practices and principles.
+ Ability to work well as a member of a team.
+ Must work well independently, able to set goals and meet required deadlines.
+ Independent decision making/trouble shooting abilities.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Excellent organizational skills.
+ Ability to work on multiple and competing priorities.
+ Interest in pregnant women and maternal health.
+ Understanding of clinical care and workflows.
_Additional requirements for the job_
+ Ability to travel to home visiting program research sites in Maryland.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish
+ MPH or Master's Degree in relevant field preferred.
+ Previous research study experience preferred.
+ Experience in maternal and child health preferred.

**Starting Salary Range** : $17.20 - $30.30 HRLY ($46,312.50 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
