The **Sr. Technician, QC** is responsible for receiving samples for QC testing, creating testing documentation, coordination of testing with contract labs, managing laboratory supply inventories and service contracts and purchase requisitions. Sample Receipt of QC samples, chain of custody requirements, retains and reserves, verification of the accuracy of the materials submitted and entry and receipts in various system to support QC. Coordinate shipment of testing samples to contact testing sites.

The role:

+ Sampling of raw materials according to established specifications.

+ Sample coordination and receipt from other departments for internal and external testing

+ Responsible for coordination of testing with contract laboratories, and submission of samples to contract laboratories and reporting results from contract testing.

+ Manage the entry and tracking of reference standards and critical reagents associated to lots including the preparation of labels and label vials for samples & coordinate and execute sample transfer to various departments.

+ Lab duties including reconstitution and aliquoting of samples requiring strong pipetting and aseptic technique.

+ Scheduling of QC testing and activities

+ Follows up with CTLs on testing and turnaround times to ensure testing deadlines are met

+ Trending of all CTL test results

+ Works closely with Manufacturing, Analytical Development and Process Development for scheduling of samples submission to the QC lab. May also interact with Project Managers on sample coordination

+ Effectively communicates updates and results from CTLs.

The candidate:

+ HS Diploma with 2 – 4 years of experience working in a cGMP environment required.

+ Biologic sample coordination preferred

+ Strong knowledge and experience working under the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for pharmaceuticals and biologics

+ Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

+ Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills

+ Strong verbal communication skills with outside contract laboratories

The anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is $47,600- $65,450 plus an annual bonus target. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
