Job Title: Business Analyst

About the job you’re considering

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst with expertise in the Aero domain. The Business Analyst (BA) will collaborate closely with the Project Management Office, Business Architect, collaborators, and the development and implementation team. The BA will be responsible for defining and supervising business needs (elicitation, documentation, etc.) and participating in the testing process. The primary role of the BA is to ensure that the implemented product or service aligns with the needs of business collaborators and the overall goals and objectives of the project in an efficient manner.

Your role

+ Assist Project Managers in project scope definition and other project details creation.

+ Participate in the analysis of the business context and identify any collaborators (i.e., impacted business groups or processes).

+ Own the requirements elicitation process with business representatives and document collaborator expectations, functional requirements, and nonfunctional requirements.

+ Continuously improve the organization by developing business processes as digital workflows.

+ Participate in the overall testing and qualification phase of the project.

+ Work autonomously to support study activities and assist with the cost estimation of the proposed solution.

+ Responsible for solution validation and ensuring alignment with defined requirements.

+ Actively participate in technical feasibility studies, including complex data analysis.

+ Provide senior management evaluations and recommendations on considered solutions.

+ Collaborate with the Information Systems teams to define possible technical solutions.

+ Participate in the creation of vital transformation documents with the Business Process Architect to provide reason validation after implementation.

+ Assist in the planning and execution of regular gap analysis throughout testing.

+ Perform data analysis using SQL on complex data models as needed. May build reports within the reports' environment to support project delivery requirements.

+ Participate in the creation and maintenance of Business Analysis processes and related documentation.

+ Share and provide mentorship and expertise to other DFJ entities on Business Analysis processes.

Your skills and experience

+ Bachelor of Computer Science, Operational Research, Engineering, Economics or related field. May substitute equivalent amounts of directly related experience for education. (2 years of directly related experience = 1 year towards degree requirement)

+ Demonstrated ability in a project oriented environment as business analyst for at least 4 years as project coordinator, process transformation lead or domain expert.

+ Must currently have Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) or be able to obtain within 18 months of hire date

+ Proficient digital literacy including Microsoft applications

+ Experience using Database management tools (SQL)

+ Experience with Reporting Software (such as Power BI, Minitab)

+ Build single process models and process decomposition using process modeling tools (ARIS, Ice Panel , C4)

+ Intermediate experience in programming language (such as Visual Basic or object programming)

+ Basic knowledge of company products, processes and applications

+ Ability to lead a technical workshop with small groups of discussions and make sure all attendees agree in the result

+ Ability to make presentations and synthesis to technical people

+ Ability to envision creative solutions and anticipate challenges with navigating medium size projects

+ Capabilities in capturing and detailing collaborator requirements using standardized methodologies - documentation of requirements coming from several collaborators on a medium size subject.

Good to Have:

+ Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA).

+ ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification.

+ Master or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering or IT field.

+ Knowledge of Project management tools (JIRA, TEAMS, Smartsheet).
