In this role,you will develop,deployand administer enterprise SQL databases that are spatially enabled using ESRI’sArcGIS Serverand native spatial data types. One of your primary responsibilities will be the developmentandmaintenance ofourspatial data warehousesthat serve a critical roletothe organization. Collaborating on the design of the next generation ofoneof thosedata warehouseswill be atoppriority on your roadmap. In this wide-ranging role,you will alsohelp to administer our GIS infrastructurein the cloud. Adesire tolearn new skillsin all areas of responsibility will be critical to your success.
PrimaryResponsibilities
Designs, builds,maintains, and supportsGIS solutions and the underlying infrastructure:
* Works with Product Managers, GIS Dev/Analystsand/or Data Scientists to design and implement GIS solutions, including data pipeline solutions
* Applies knowledge of, and skills in, enterprise geodatabases and data warehousing tools to provision, integrate,monitor, andoptimizedata stores
* Through curiosity and investigation, develops deep understanding ofWeyerhaeuser business and how it is represented inGIS data Develops andmaintainsautomated deployment processesthat meet strict IT controls
* Diagnoses,troubleshoots, and resolvesproduction data pipeline issues andreverse-engineersexisting codebaseand database design when necessaryto resolve ongoing issues and seek improvements
* Collaborates with other ITengineersand ITarchitectsto ensure that the GIS solutions efficiently and effectively integrate with the broader IT infrastructure
* Partnerswith vendorsand peers in ITtoadvancethe GIS team roadmap
* Work with broader GIS team todeveloptoolstoautomate andenhancenew and existing processes.
* Bachelor’sdegreeinComputer Science,Geography, Information Technology or related field,or equivalent experience isrequired
* Minimum offour(4) tosix(6) years of progressive, relevantGIS/ITexperience
* Able to apply business knowledge to develop and deliver innovative, value-added improvements
* Excellentoral and written communication skills,skilledin communicating technical topics to non-technical audiences
* Excellent collaboration skills in working together with others across all IT segments
* Proven ability tooperateand effectively communicate while under pressure; as well as the ability to manage a diverse workload and work under time constraints with minimal supervision
* Actively working to learn new skillsin order tostay current with changing technologies and industry trends, shares knowledge proactively with others
Technical Qualifications
* Proficient knowledge ofSQL coding and best practices, including:
o coding and optimizingprogrammable objects likestored proceduresandfunctions
o designing,implementing, and materializingviews
o writingautomation packagesfor ETL/ELTprocesses,e.g.SSISor Azure Data Factory
o performance evaluationwith tools like Activity MonitorandSQL Profiler
o performance optimization of database operations
* Proficient knowledge of geospatial data (including vector and raster), RDBMS systems, and enterprise geodatabases
* Functional understanding ofgeodatabase designandspatial relationships
* General familiarity with python scripting and automation of GIS tasks, preferably witharcpyorthe ArcGIS APIfor Python
Highly Valued
* Familiarity with the SAFE/FME data integration platform, including administration as well as pipelinedevelopment
* Functional knowledge of best practices for developing and managing CI/CD pipelines, includingdata pipelines
* Functional knowledge ofJupyterNotebooks
* Familiarity with modern cloud data stores and platforms (Snowflake, RedShift, etc.)
* Advanced skill implementing solutions in the ESRI ArcGIS platform, including desktop, server, web/portal, mobile, and database tools
* Proficient in provisioning, monitoring, andoptimizingserver infrastructure in the cloud
* Functional understanding of forestry and land title concepts and datasets
* Working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM principles and practices

Thework associated with this position can be performed in ahybrid capacityattachedto one of our majorWeyerhaeuser officesinAtlanta, GA; Madison, GA;Hot Springs, AR;Columbia Falls, MT;Springfield, OR;Vancouver, WA;Seattle, WA.
To providetimelyproductionsupport for overnight processes, we have a strongpreferencetowardcandidates that can workinEastern US time zoneworking hours.
*What We Offer:*
*Compensation*: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $97,400-$146,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
*Benefits*: When you join our team, you and your dependents will be offered coverage under our comprehensive employee benefits plan, which includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, and life insurance. We offer a pre-tax Health Savings Account option which includes a company contribution. Other benefit options are also available such as voluntary Long-Term Care and Employee Assistance Programs. *Retirement*: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
*Paid Time Off or Vacation*: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
