NJR is looking for a Facility intern to work in the Facilities department.

What you will do:

Bring your enthusiasm and drive and you’ll learn from some of the top talent in the energy industry. You’ll have hands-on experience with your team and the support of our human resources team through this 10-week program. Growing both professionally and personally throughout the program could lead to future post-grad opportunities.

•Assist facility technicians and work with outside contractors on all facets of work

•Set up various conference rooms throughout the General Office for meetings

•Work collaboratively with IT on employee and office moves

•Assist employees with daily facility requests

•Assist with setup of various company functions held at outside locations

•Work with facilities to maintain CDC guidelines

•Assist facility technicians with Preventive Maintenance Service on the equipment located at NJR/NJNG sites

Requirements:

•Currently enrolled in and attending a college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree

•Ability to work overtime or in an emergency situation, scheduled overtime at nights and/or weekends

•Demonstrate ability to work safely

•Self-starter, ability to work independently and deliver results

• Ability to work outdoors on occasion and in inclement weather as needed

•Must be dependable, punctual, and produce reliable, accurate work results

•Strong communication and teamwork skills

•Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

•Valid NJ Driver’s license
