    CVOR Certified Surgical Tech II Details

    Essential Job Duties:

    + Scrub in all Thoracic/vascular procedures independently and pass instruments.

    + Competent in COVOR equipment, instruments, and supplies.

    + Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.

    + Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments and equipment.

    + Assist the surgical team during procedures.

    + Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and nurses.

    + Maintain aseptic conditions and infection control protocols.

    + Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.

    + Handle specimens and facilitate their transfer to the laboratory.

    + Clean and restock the operating room after each surgery.

    + Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and successful surgical outcomes.

    License/Certification:

    + Must have graduated from an accredited surgical technology program

    + Must have active CST certification

    + Must have active BLS certification

    + Must be eligible to sit for the certification and as a new graduate has 6 months to complete.
