Responsibilities
+ Deploy and operationalize VPC Lattice & Envoy Proxy for secure service-to-service communication in USA-based non-production environments
+ Automate deployments using Terraform, CDK, and CI/CD pipelines
+ Enhance the scalability and security of Backend Modernization efforts via Helm-powered Kubernetes deployments
+ Support dynamic routing needs and facilitate seamless service communication using Envoy Proxy
+ Create detailed documentation around IaC and cross-team standards
Requirements
+ VPC Lattice Expertise: Advanced knowledge of managing secure service-to-service communication, routing, and networking with VPC Lattice Strong experience with AWS VPC at a minimum
+ Envoy Proxy Integration: Hands-on experience integrating Envoy Proxy for service mesh-based communication and routing, and/or AWS App Mesh experience Expertise with distributed proxy and microservices architecture implementation would also make you successful in this role
+ Network & Routing: Expertise in working with VPC architectures, NAT Gateways, routing tables, and security groups within AWS environments
+ Amazon EKS: Experience managing Kubernetes workloads and optimizing clusters with Helm charts
+ GoLang (Go Programming): Experience building backend services in Go, optimized for cloud-native applications
+ Terraform & CDK: Strong background in IaC frameworks for scalable deployments
+ GitHub Actions: Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline design and automation
Nice to have
+ Familiarity with OpenID Connect standards for robust authentication and authorization workflows
+ Experience in designing seamless cross-application communication strategies

This posting includes a good faith range of the salary EPAM would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. The range provided reflects base salary only. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to: geographic location, experience, credentials, education, training; the demand for the role; and overall business and labor market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: $115,000 - $185,000.
