    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    The Parts Technician will be responsible for purchasing, receiving, and conducting inventory control tasks to support our team of multi-skilled maintenance technicians and continuously work to improve the process. These tasks will include maintaining records, inventory control systems, proper identification, and obtaining quotes and working with vendors.

    JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

     

    + Always maintain a “safety first” attitude. Maintain safe working habits by following established OSHA and company safety practices and policies (IE: LOTO, GMP, ARC Flash, Proper PPE practices, Housekeeping).

    + Maintains records of on-hand inventory, performs cycle counts, verifies physical inventory accuracy, and performs database updates.

    + Maintains an effective inventory control system and related best practices to optimize inventory levels.

    + Work with purchasing to identify best pricing options

    + Utilization of CMMS system and root cause analysis to determine and highlight changes in usage

    + Ensures proper identification of received goods and their storage locations.

    + Takes proper precaution to avoid any product delays that may affect PM completions.

    + Performs site materials management function in conformance with requirements.

    + Obtaining quotes and working with vendors and subcontractors to expedite and track orders.

    + Maintains files of requisitions, receiving reports and related inventory documents.

    + Maintain a neat and organized work area.

    + Operating various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.

    + Operating a variety of equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.

    + Maintaining a strict schedule to be successful in the assignment yet demonstrates flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling.

    + Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

    + Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers, and/or government agencies.

    Qualifications

    + Experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and the ability to form and sustain efficient, positive working relationships with all levels of the organization.

    + High School diploma or GED; with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in materials management including using a computer to track material and information.

    + Must be 18 years or older.

    + Computer skills to effectively navigate CMMS system and other software to perform basic statistical analysis to identify improvement opportunities.

    + Demonstrate strong understanding of inventory control terminology, measures, and concepts.

    + Communicate regularly with co-workers in all positions to maintain a high level of customer service and respect plant wide.

    + Ability to multitask and must possess very strong organization skills.

    + Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor.

    + Eager to support fellow members in keeping the facility and its equipment clean, neat, and well-maintained.

    + Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.
