2nd shift:2:15pm - 10:45 pm Monday-Friday
TheProductionSupervisoris responsible for the daily supervision, growth and development of all production personnel within their area of responsibility. The supervisor ensures that the equipment and labor resources are being utilized as scheduled in a safe and efficient manner. The supervisor is the main contact between production and the production support functions (EO, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Test Lab, Planning and HR). The Production Supervisor is responsible for executing the Daily Production Schedule. TheProduction Supervisoris an integral part of the production team and is accountable along with the flow leader and team leader(s) for the achievement of the Anoplate Corporate Operating Goals in Culture, Safety, Environmental Compliance, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
In This Role You Will:
+ Identifies capacity needs and temporary capacity gaps and develops plans to meet our customer demand
+ Works with Training to ensure depth and flexibility within their department
+ Responsible for writing employee performance reviews. Reviews measure an employee’s performance to Anoplate’s Core Values and specific delivery and quality KPI’s.
+ Works with Operations Manager and Training to prepare a plan for individual employee growth and development for all employees in the production team. Development plan is based on business demand and employee personal growth.
+ Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures.
+ Leads the process of Hiring, Firing and Promoting based on needs of the business and individual performance.
+ Develops and administers PIP's for relevant personnel
+ Attends daily production meetings with customer service and other operations personnel to update any slips, recoveries or expedites in schedule. Notify CS of any schedule impacts to customers
+ Ensures safe practices and conditions through daily observations. Works with Maintenance and EHS to ensure issues are addressed.
+ Monitors tank performance, reviews parts as they are being processed. Monitors tank levels, temperatures, filters, operator bath checks, calibrations, to assure all baths are kept in operating parameters. Ensures contacts, hoods and tanks are kept clean and in optimal running condition.
+ Manages attendance, time off requests, break times and time utilization.
+ Holds people accountable to follow ALL PROCESSES (Traveler, EHS, Quality, Employee Handbook)
+ Serves as first contact in the event of an emergency during the shift
+ Ensure the team completes all production without comprising operator safety, environmental compliance or product quality.
+ Increases tank uptime by ensuring processes are in place and followed to keep tanks, connections and exhaust systems clean and in good working order. Communicates to Maintenance or Lab when issues are identified.
+ Responsible for labor reporting within ERP system. Coaches all employees to consistently reach internal labor reporting goals.
+ Audits travelers and operators daily to ensure key processes are being followed and documented properly.
Requirements
Your skills, knowledge & abilities:
Experience Required:
+ At least 2-6 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing/lean environment
Experience Desired:
+ Experience coordinating teams or activities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring alignment with production schedules and priorities.
+ Proven experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory role.
+ Strong leadership and people management skills.
+ Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
+ In-depth understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
+ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
+ Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Education:
+ HS diploma required.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, Able to navigate the Company’s ERP system (AANGS)
