The Dietician role serves as a liaison between the patient, nursing and medical staff and the Food and Nutrition Department, regarding optimal nutrition care for the patient. S/he assesses the nutritional needs, develop individualized dietary plans, provides dietary counseling for residents/ patients as well as participates in in-service education for dietary employees to assure high quality meal service.

Knowledge, Education and Skills Required:

+ Bachelor’s Degree

+ One (1) Year Experience as Dietitian

Knowledge, Education and Skills Preferred:

+ Prior experience in Food Service

Required Certification/Licensing:

+ Credentialed / Awarded by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) by Successfully Passing a Registration Examination
