    The Boiler Op Plt Op Mec operates and maintains the following trades throughout the Hospital complex; electrical, structural, mechanical and HVAC along with boiler operations.

    Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    + High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), GED equivalent programs, and/or other Vocational degrees/certificates.

    + A minimum of two (2) years High Pressure Steam plus one (1) year refrigeration or air conditioning and on-the-job experience with pumps and pipe work.

    + Minimum Black Seal Fireman in charge of High Pressure license plus 6 month course (75 hours) in theory or equivalent experience.

    + Some exposure to burns, electrical shocks. In contact with chemicals that are toxic in nature. Also minor injuries due to falls, abrasions, etc. May be required to work overtime on an emergency basis.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
