    **Hackensack Meridian Health** is seeking a dedicated Physician Advisor to join our team at Ocean University Medical Center. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with hospital leadership, case management, and medical staff to enhance clinical documentation, regulatory compliance, and patient care efficiency.

    + Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement methods and develop care management protocols that optimize the use of hospital services for all patients while ensuring quality care is provided.

    + Develop expertise on physician practice patterns, over and under-utilization of resources, medical necessity, levels of care, care progression, denial management, compliance with governmental and private payer regulations, appropriate physician coding and documentation requirements.

    Qualifications

    + MD/DO degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School

    + Obtain or have the ability to obtain a New Jersey Medical License

    + 1-2+ years of experience as a Physician Advisor or similar role

    + Ability to build rapport with medical staff and hospital leadership to obtain buy-in and

     

    collaboration necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

     

    + Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

    + Demonstrates ability to drive results and produce outcomes.

    + Member of the American College of Physician Advisors (ACPA) is **preferred** .

    + Board Certification by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians, Inc. (ABQAURP) is **preferred** .

    + Physician Advisor Sub-specialty Certification by the American Board of Quality Assurance
