Job Summary
The College of Business is seeking an Assistant Director of Industry Relations. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, professional faculty position.
The Assistant Director of industry Relations is responsible for managing, planning, developing, and implementing strategies and programs that increase the visibility, investment and engagement of industry with the College of Business. Responsibilities include establishing and cultivating industry contacts, deepening relationships with industry and advancing the College reputation externally.
As a member of the College of Business Advancement team the Assistant Director of Industry Relations supports the goals of the Advancement office to: Provide opportunities for meaningful collaboration between external partners and the College, inspire our external partners to invest (time, money, talent) in the College to support students and advance our mission, and serve as a lifelong education provider to our community of external partners (alumni, donors, companies, agencies) in support of their professional development and advancement.
The overall objective of engaging industry with the College is to heighten the College’s reputation, advance recruitment of students, and increase revenue to the College. The College of Business aims to be seen as the business school for the industry of the State of Oregon and our region.

What You Will Need
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or other related disciplines.
+ Experience with external stakeholders such as industry leaders, university alumni, and/or working professionals with a commitment to excellent customer service.
+ Experience working with external clients in a sales role or capacity with demonstrated success.
+ Quantifiable success in facilitating connections and relationships, including cultivating, managing, and tracking relationships.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, utilizing inclusive language and the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy across diverse cultural boundaries.
+ Project management experience.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.
+ Strong decision-making skills, including setting priorities and managing multiple projects/activities/deadlines.
+ Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusiveness with all audiences.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.
What We Would Like You to Have
+ Experience working in higher education.
+ Experience working in industry or corporate development.
+ Knowledge of Portland metro region industry and corporate relations networks.
+ Working knowledge of current Microsoft Office software, relationship management software and other relevant tools.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
This position can be based in Corvallis or in the Portland, OR metro area, but regular driving and travel between these two locations is expected.

Recommended Full-Time Salary Range $70,000-$80,000
