Job Description
Summary:
Custom Truck One Source has an opening for Warehouse Lead with a background in heavy and light duty trucks and equipment. This position requires a high degree of safety, accuracy and productivity as well as pervious warehouse and/or parts experience. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for managing the parts inventory to insure count and location accuracy, overseeing/leading all warehouse functions (shipping, receiving, parts counter), providing direction and support throughout each day, while also performing daily tasks assigned to the Warehouse Lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Assist in completion of all daily warehouse functions.
+ Oversee and monitor activity and productivity of all warehouse associates.
+ Perform daily cycle counts, verifying count and location accuracy.
+ Report inventory shortages, overages, and defective products in a timely manner.
+ Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies and discuss with the Parts Manager if not found.
+ Work with Parts Manager to determine root cause to prevent future incidents.
+ Receive and tag beds, bodies, booms and attachments as they are unloaded.
+ Ensure all inventory is properly labeled with part numbers.
+ Ensure physical location of items and system locations match.
+ Responsible for keeping warehouse, outside storage (all parts inventory and locations) organized and clean.
+ Maintain Return, Warranty and Defective Parts Locations.
+ Log inventory discrepancies to identify trends.
+ Recommend improvements focusing on inventory accuracy and organization.
+ Responsible for maintenance on all parts equipment. Such as contacting vendors for repair and performing daily forklift maintenance checklist before each work shift. (Forklift / pallet jack / etc.).
+ Perform parts runs in company vehicle to pick up and/or deliver parts as needed.
+ Perform annual physical inventory.
+ Follow all safety regulations and report safety concerns to manager in a timely manner.
+ Miscellaneous projects as assigned.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
+ Previous parts or warehouse experience
+ Previous inventory control/mgmt. experience
+ Experience with an inventory management system
+ Knowledge of heavy and light duty trucks and equipment preferred
+ High school diploma or the equivalent
+ Valid driver's license
+ Specialized knowledge
+ Must have strong leadership skills
+ Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of work
+ Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
+ Setting priorities and adapting to changing work priorities
+ Must be self-sufficient and driven
+ Meeting deadlines and schedules
+ Must have a strong attendance record
+ Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and audiogram.
+ Proficient on a computer and possess the ability to learn new programs quickly. Must be able to use Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook).
+ Must be able to work independently and create innovative solutions to problems with minimal direction from supervisors.
+ Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively before individual customers or groups of customers or employees of organization or parent organization.
+ Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times

Working Conditions:
+ Able to work as scheduled with punctual attendance, regularly scheduled day is 8 hours with a start time possible between 5:00 am & 7:00 am, Monday-Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary in order to meet business demands
+ Majority of work performed in a shop and outside
+ Safety shoes are required, safety glasses may be required for some tasks.
+ May be exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes
+ Ability to use carts, forklifts, hand truck, pallet, jack, overhead jobs, and cranes
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to see things in close proximity whether through natural or corrected vision
+ Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day
+ Lifting – The ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs
+ Frequent lifting (60-100lbs), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42", significant stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling throughout an 8-12 hour day, and up to 60 hours per week
