We are seeking a software engineer who has experience building user interfaces. To help maintain and build out our catalog of native TV applications. The software engineer will engage stakeholders, assist in building features, and maintaining existing functionality. The individual contributor will report to a Senior Software Engineering Manager. We are a close-knit team, focused on solving challenging problems that make a difference in our business. We concentrate on high-impact, high-value development, and in this role, you’ll be delivering the software that helps us grow. This position will require at least 4 years of experience in UI and OOP language development, ideally C++. Any experience in Gaming Development will be a leg up in this role. We pride ourselves on working in a collaborative environment, and to do so we are in our Dallas office 5 days a week.

Our Tech Team operates at the heart of Walmart's digital transformation, focusing on creating seamless and scalable solutions that enhance the customer experience. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing software that meets our business goals and customer needs, contributing to Walmart's mission of delivering Every Day Low Prices and exceptional service.
What You’ll Do
**Design and Architect** : Develop and design software architecture to support functional requirements and ensure clean, modular code for cross-platform applications.
**Coding and Debugging** : Write, debug, and optimize code using languages such as C/C++ for embedded Linux systems.
**Collaborate** : Work closely with QA teams, third-party partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects on time.
**Maintain and Enhance** : Conduct code reviews, implement new functionalities, and maintain high standards of security and performance.
**Research and Implement** : Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and integrate them into solutions to meet business needs.
What You’ll Bring
**Educational Background** : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
**Experience** : 5+ years of experience in software development and debugging, particularly with embedded Linux systems.
**Technical Skills** : Strong proficiency in C/C++, software architecture design, and experience with Linux OS internals, kernel development, and device driver development.
**Problem-Solving** : Ability to troubleshoot and optimize code for memory-constrained systems and various communication protocols (USB, Ethernet, TCP/IP).
**Preferred Skills** : Experience in consumer electronics engineering, HW accelerated graphics processing (OpenGL ES), and a quick understanding of existing systems.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
