    This is a full-time, exempt level position.

     

    ***Ideal work locations for this role include: Decatur, IL; Valdosta, GA, Des Moines, IA, Lincoln, NE , Cedar Rapids, IA. Other large ADM manufacturing locations are open for consideration.

    Position Summary:

    As a key member of the Operational Technology (OT) team, you will be responsible for advancing the standardization and innovation of OT distributed control system (DCS) and manufacturing execution system (MES) applications architecture, support, and engineering globally.

     

    You will work closely with OT engineers, Process Automation (PA) engineers, and partner with key business segments, Global Technology (GT, which is ADM’s IT dept.), and your global OT peers to ensure the successful delivery of OT solutions to ADM operations.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Direct, manage and maintain OT DCS/MES applications ecosystem globally

    + Partner with PA and application owners to drive the establishment and communication of DCS/MES applications architecture and procedure standards

    + Drive development and implementation of OT DCS/MES applications architecture strategic direction, with a focus on optimization of resources and plant up-time Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

    + Key OT liaison for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems integration efforts for MES

    + Partner with PA to maintain compliance for DCS/MES-related licensing

    + Manage the collection of application requirements, techniques and controls of affected functional departments in order to determine problem areas and to provide operationally efficient solutions

    + Follow OT project methodology guidelines and standards and drive team adoption

    + Coordinate application activities with OT/PA managers to help prevent plant interruptions (upgrades, patching, etc.)

    + Participate in vendor evaluations, recommend and review functional and overall application design, and complete technical planning to improve systems productivity and efficiency

    + Manage third-party suppliers/contractors (where applicable)

    + Some travel and on call are expected as part of this position

    Required Skills:

    + Strong understanding of process automation/control applications and HMI software applications (Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Honeywell, Wonderware, Emerson DeltaV, Valmet (NovaTech) D/3, etc.)

    + Demonstrated experience managing the lifecycle, maintenance, and upgrades of DCS/MES applications

    + Ability to think ‘outside the box’

    + Strong communication skills - communicate at a conceptual level as well as at a hands-on, practical level

    + Highly motivated, self-starter

    + Comfortable working with cross-functional global teams

    + Strong documentation and organizational skills

    + Must have the ability to skillfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and succeed in an environment of competing priorities

    + Demonstrated ability to lead by delivering on commitments and managing by example

    + Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment; a willingness to learn new skills and take direction from other team members; and ability to organize information and manage time efficiently

    + Experience in supporting plant operations and 24/7 operating requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    + Minimum of an Associates degree in a technical discipline (computer science, engineering, etc.)

    + 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise-level technology operations and services, including experience managing the lifecycle, maintenance, and upgrades of network technologies

    + Technical experience with Process Automation systems, including Rockwell Plant PAx and AVEVA Wonderware

    + Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelors degree (or higher) in a technical discipline (computer science, engineering, etc.)

    + Experience in network configurations and integration: Understanding of network infrastructure and application integration.

    Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

     

    If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

    The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
