Job Description
This critical role is responsible for managing the accounting and external financial reporting processes for Treasury and Corporate activities including debt, financial instruments, investments, pensions & OPEB benefits, and intangible assets. This role interacts with several internal stakeholders including Treasury, Consolidations, External Reporting, Ventures/Business Development, Tax, and Human Resources as well as our auditors. Responsibilities also include accounting for unusual and/or complex transactions on an ad hoc basis. The ability to research accounting literature, form opinions, and communicate recommendations is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
+ Oversees the accounting and financial reporting processes for the Company’s debt, investments, financial instruments, pension & OPEB benefits and intangible assets.
+ Manages month-end close for these areas, including reviewing and approving journal entries and related schedules (to support consolidations, cash flow reporting, etc.).
+ Prepares and/or review key footnote disclosures for external reporting (10-Q/K).
+ Performs technical accounting research and communicate recommendations to internal stakeholders.
+ Acts as the global US GAAP and accounting policy subject matter expert for these areas.
+ Supports integration activities on an as-needed basis.
+ Identifies and implement opportunities to improve / streamline current processes and procedures.
+ Manages two direct reports (one manager and one senior accountant).
+ Provides technical accounting and accounting support for unusual and/or complex transactions on an ad hoc basis.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
+ CPA preferred.
+ 8 years of finance and accounting experience (minimum 4 years of accounting responsibilities).
+ Ability to learn technical accounting concepts.
+ Ability to work independently and adjust priorities to achieve accurate and timely results.
+ Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to collaborate across functions.
+ Proficient in SAP, HFM and Excel.
+ Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and aptitude for continuous improvement and change.

+ The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

Salary: $121,000 - $230,000
