Senior System Analyst- Change Management
Full Time Position
Remote work available.
General Description
The Sr Systems Analyst change management lead is responsible for managing the system changes queue and ensuring changes are made efficiently, with minimum risk to the organization. The Change management lead should allow changes to be moved quickly to the production environment and protect the IT systems of the organization, ensuring the changes that are made do not present an unacceptable risk. He or she must look for conflicts in active changes and determine the most appropriate time to commit changes to the production systems. Provides subject matter expertise on reviewing the business case and approved change requests /RFCs.
The change management lead is responsible for managing the lifecycle of all changes, with the primary responsibility of enabling beneficial changes to be made with minimal disruption to the business.
He or She will convene and chair the change advisory board (CAB) and emergency change (eCAB), ensuring the information presented to these groups is complete and provides them with the information they need to make informed decisions about the changes, prioritizing and approving them, or rejecting them.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Research and proactively identify opportunities to process, measurements, and systems in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of change management services.
+ Work closely and communicate effectively with users and stakeholders of the change process to drive improvements.
+ Assure service quality objectives, governance compliance, and responsiveness through KPIS and metrics.
+ Support the development and execution of change management activities in partnership with customer teams- including stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and readiness and adoption measurement plans. Collaborate with the team and key stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and quality of assigned deliverables.
+ Identify training needs by analysis of common errors. Gather and analyze information on a variety of changed and develop action plans to contain and control incidents.
+ Review and record requests for change (RFCs).
+ Categorize change requests.
+ Prioritize changes according to business objectives.
+ Manage the transition of changes from the development team to operations.
+ Accept or reject RFCs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Convene the change advisory board (CAB) meetings.
+ Coordinate the building, testing, and implementation of changes
+ Mediate conflicts related to the change where necessary. Identify possible issues/concerns, escalate risks and issues to management and project leadership teams, and implement mitigation plans if necessary.
+ Create and circulate the change schedule
+ Conduct Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs) after the implementation of changes.
+ Maintain all change documentation (policies, procedures, templates, etc.)
+ Produce management reports related to change implementations, successful changes and failed changed, among others.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or a related discipline.
Experience
+ Knowledge of concepts regarding design and deployments of information technologies.
+ Ability to understand the basic tenets of the physical IT system ad that system’s relation to applications.
+ Good analytical and systematic approach to problem solving.
+ Excellent judgement, tact, and decision-making ability.
+ Understanding of foundation IT technical issues and relationships.
+ ITIL Knowledge or certification, preferred.
+ Knowledge on quality assurance and audits.
+ Excellent written and verbal skills.
+ Ability to prioritize busy workload.
