You will be a Linux System Administrator for our IT Team\. Our team is responsible for administering and provisioning Linux desktop and server environments to support our organization's operations\.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Linux System Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Linux infrastructure, including Debian and Ubuntu distributions\. You will administer virtualization platforms, manage repositories and servers, and deploy and administer containerized applications\.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Administering Linux desktop and server environments, including Debian and Ubuntu distros
•Managing virtualization platforms, such as VSphere and Proxmox
•Maintaining APT repositories, NTP, and DNS servers
•Deploying and administering Docker containers
•Configuring and managing Wireguard and OpenVPN servers
•Managing Iptables and executing Bash and Python scripts

MUST BE A U\.S\. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access and is in direct support of a U\.S\. government contract that requires a company\-sponsored clearance to start\.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience administering and provisioning Linux Desktop and Server environments, specifically Debian and Ubuntu distros\.
Experience with VSphere and/ or Proxmax administration\.
Experience managing Iptables\.
Experience with OpenLDAP and PKI administration\.
Experience with Bash and Python scripting\.
Desired Skills:
Experience managing APT repositories, NTP, and DNS servers\.
Experience with deploying and administering Docker containers\.
Experience deploying and administering Wireguard and OpenVPN servers\.
Familiarity with Ansible and/ or Salt Stack\.
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
