_Responsibilities:_

_Intermediate level:_

+ _Analyzes and evaluates complex cybersecurity requirements, technologies, risks, and issues_

+ _Designs and implements security solutions, defenses, and mitigation approaches_

+ _Provides independent assessments and identify security vulnerabilities with detailed recommendations_

+ _Leads and support Incident Response and Risk and Vulnerability Assessment activities_

+ _Perform, lead, and coordinate the development of complex information technology systems and applications_

+ _Applies business process improvement practices to engineer methodologies and principles_

+ _Evaluates hardware and software, and establish standards for information systems procedures_

+ _Engages in systems planning, performance management, and capacity planning_

+ _Conducts testing, validation, and benchmarking of security systems and processes_

+ _Contributes to information engineering and systems engineering plans_

+ _Mentors junior team members and contribute to team's professional development_

_Senior-level:_

+ _Leads the analysis and evaluation of complex cybersecurity requirements, technologies, risks, and issues_

+ _Designs and oversees the implementation of advanced security solutions, defenses, and mitigation approaches_

+ _Provides expert-level independent assessments and identify critical security vulnerabilities with strategic recommendations_

+ _Lead and enhance Incident Response and Risk and Vulnerability Assessment programs_

+ _Spearhead and coordinate the development of complex information technology systems and applications_

+ _Apply and innovate business process improvement practices to engineer methodologies and principles_

+ _Evaluates cutting-edge hardware and software, establishing enterprise-wide standards for information systems procedures_

+ _Leads systems planning, performance management, and capacity planning initiatives_

+ _Oversees testing, validation, and benchmarking of security systems and processes_

+ _Drives information engineering and systems engineering plans_

+ _Mentors junior and intermediate team members, fostering a culture of cybersecurity excellence_

_Subject Matter Expert/SME level:_

+ _Serves as the primary authority on cybersecurity, analyzing advanced requirements, technologies, risks, and issues_

+ _Design and architect innovative security solutions, defenses, and mitigation approaches_

+ _Provides expert-level independent assessments and identify critical security vulnerabilities with strategic recommendations_

+ _Leads and enhance enterprise-wide Incident Response and Risk and Vulnerability Assessment programs_

+ _Spearhead and coordinate the development of complex information technology systems and applications_

+ _Apply and innovate business process improvement practices to engineer cutting-edge methodologies and principles_

+ _Evaluates emerging hardware and software technologies, establishing enterprise-wide standards for information systems procedures_

+ _Leads strategic systems planning, performance management, and capacity planning initiatives_

_Qualifications:_

_Required:_

_Intermediate:_

+ _Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree)_

+ _3-8 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity_

+ Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain Secret-level clearance upon hire.

+ _Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies_

+ _Proficiency in security tools, frameworks, and methodologies (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK)_

+ _Experience with incident response and vulnerability assessment_

+ _Strong analytical and problem-solving skills_

+ _Excellent communication and project management skills_

+ _Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams_

_Senior:_

+ _Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)_

+ _8-11 years of extensive experience in cybersecurity_

+ Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain Secret-level clearance upon hire.

+ _Expert knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and emerging technologies_

+ _Advanced proficiency in security tools, frameworks, and methodologies (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK)_

+ _Proven experience leading incident response and vulnerability assessment teams • Strong leadership and project management skills • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences_

_Subject Matter Expert/SME:_

+ _Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field_

+ _12+ years of extensive experience in cybersecurity leadership roles_

+ Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain Secret-level clearance upon hire.

+ _Recognized expert-level knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and emerging technologies_

+ _Advanced proficiency in multiple security tools, frameworks, and methodologies_

+ _Proven track record of leading large-scale cybersecurity initiatives and incident response teams_

+ _Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide at the executive level_

+ _Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities_

+ _Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences including C-level executives_

_Desired:_

_Intermediate:_

+ _Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP)_

+ _Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)_

+ _Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, C++)_

+ _Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, FISMA)_

+ _Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools_

_Senior:_

+ _Advanced cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC)_

Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$62,800-$128,600
