The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Category & Commodity Manager to lead and oversee a team of Procurement professionals in effectively managing specific product categories and commodities within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and team leadership.
You will be a passionate category advocate within CACI; possess strong negotiation and analytical skills, together with proven government contract knowledge and experience. The ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task is a must, together with excellent leadership skills and an excellent attention to detail with an ability to analyze industry and consumer trends, develop strategies for product categories to include critical path items, manage product pricing, and foster supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter.
Responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing category strategies, optimizing product assortment, implementing effective pricing and utilizing data to make key decisions. Must hold a warrant in compliance with the CACI Procurement Policy and CACI’s signature authority database.

Are you looking for an opportunity to drive strategic procurement solutions within a company? CACI is looking for a strategy focused professional to lead the execution, implementation, and management of the Category & Commodity Management Team.
As Category & Commodity Manager you will partner with leadership and senior stakeholders to identify category strategies to drive cost savings and effectiveness by working to eliminate operational inefficiencies, negotiating custom vendor-specific contracts, and becoming a trusted advisor who enables the business to succeed. Preferred experience in executing and managing Enterprise Agreements.
Responsibilities:
+ Drive the strategic side of Category Management to ensure continuous process improvements.
+ Lead the vendor selection process with various internal stakeholders.
+ Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for chosen vendors and negotiate on multiple variables to award longer-term strategic contracts that result in significant cost reduction and improved service levels.
+ Develop and tracking KPIs for team members, proactively outlining expectations.
+ Monitor current category market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges, opportunities, and critical path items.
+ Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to team members, fostering their professional growth and helping them to develop their skills and competencies.
+ Act as a role model and resource, ensuring they understand and adhere to best practices and company standards.
+ Manage respective vendor relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution.
+ Work collaboratively with Corporate and Sector Leadership, Solution Architects, Purchasing, Subcontracts, and other Category Managers.
+ Develop and implement category strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supply chain efficiency.
+ Manage the effective negotiation, execution and management of contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and product development to align category strategies with overall business objectives.
+ Drive innovation within the category by staying informed of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
+ Manage category budgets and forecast future spend.
+ Proactively manage external impacts to business such as analyzing market trends and staying ahead of Federal Regulations and new legislation.
Qualifications:
_Required:_
+ BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
+ 7+ years broad-based experience across procurement, with particular focus in category management, purchasing, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, driven price analysis, vendor relationship management and performance management.
+ A minimum of 2 years’ experience effectively leading a team.
+ Understanding of current market conditions with a proven track record to drive savings using different category strategies.
+ Strong analytical skills are required with experience in spend analysis tools and performing spend analysis using Excel.
+ Experience in independently executing RFPs including business outsourcing.
+ Contract negotiations skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
_Desired:_
+ Preferred experience in executing and managing enterprise Software and SaaS agreements with vendors including Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, VMWare, Salesforce, Atlassian, Splunk, GitLab, etc.
+ Effective communication skills.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$70,300 - $154,700
