McLarty Associates is seeking a motivated, resourceful, highly organized individual for a full-time, Associate position to support one of the firm’s Senior Managing Directors.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
+ Conducting research and analysis of economic, political, trade, technology, public policy, international, financial, and business issues
+ Providing administrative support to the Senior Managing Director (coordinating and maintaining schedules, completing expense reports, event planning, making travel arrangements, etc.);
+ Monitoring news outlets for relevant energy/critical minerals policy developments
+ Compiling biographies, preparing presentations and client deliverables;
+ Assisting firm-wide communications and collaborations;
+ Attending and reporting on speeches, panel discussions, and policy forums of interest to the firm and clients;
+ Other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidates for this position possess a broad understanding of international politics, economics, trade, technology, government relations, business, and entrepreneurship. Proficiency in one or more foreign languages is preferred, as is experience or interest in energy policy and critical minerals. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington, DC, McLarty Associates is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the said market and considers a broad range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The range does not include additional benefits outside of salary. At McLarty Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each role. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range is between $66,000 to $85,000; this range is not a promise of a particular wage.
