    Introduction

     

    Your role and responsibilities

    Software Developer, IBM Corporation, San Jose, CA (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):

    * Define the product and solution architecture and describe how elements of the technologies interoperate in the solution and product architecture.

    * Align the product and solution roadmap with business unit strategy. Inform development community of recent developments with standards bodies and technologies for creating company’s solutions and products.

    * Develop test frameworks and strategies for every release to ensure high-quality (zero defects) development testing and production environments. Understand requirements and write user stories and test cases for new features in the release.

    * Draft test scenarios for new features in each component for execution as part of the build and product validation process.

    * Create development testing clusters with the latest component builds for integration tests.

    * Manually validate key features and workflows of the factsheet system to ensure no defects in the production environment.

    * Write FVTs (Functional Verification Tests), test reports, and trace matrices, and review with relevant stakeholders (development and quality).

    * Provide inputs on project plans, review upstream deliverables, and fully execute the testing phase until the release.

    * Find critical issues, identify root causes, and suggest enhancements to current features. Lead portfolio testing activities and coordinate testing resources.

    * Collaborate with the project manager, business systems analyst, developers, and operations personnel to provide guidance on quality governance as a subject matter expert.

    * Utilize: Software Development Lifecycle, C#.NET, Design Patterns, Scrum - Agile Methodologies, Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) Framework, Building Automation Fundamentals.

     

    Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Developer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Software Development Lifecycle, C#.NET, Design Patterns, Scrum - Agile Methodologies, Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) Framework, Building Automation Fundamentals. $226158 per year. Full time. V131.

    Required technical and professional expertise
